Besides Insignia's 5.7 million-sf Atlanta portfolio, Ledbetter will also oversee the company's management portfolio of 9.4 million sf in Florida and Puerto Rico.

In a prepared statement, Insignia president/CEO Ronald Uretta credits the business graduate from Auburn University and Georgia State University with improved networking and higher production from the Atlanta and Florida offices in Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville. As an example, Uretta cites the 1.14-million-sf office management contract Insignia won recently at the 55-story Wachovia Financial Center in Downtown Miami.

"Giving Jim oversight of all our Southeast operations will enable us to transfer more business and cross-sell more services on a regional basis," Uretta says. Ledbetter will continue to work from his Atlanta office.
