The sublessee, Lava Enterprises, will take 61,750 sf at the industrial complex, which is located at 12270 World Trade Dr. in San Diego. The company plans to move into its new space in February of 2003, according to the terms of the $2.7-million transaction.
The sublessor, Denver, CO-based Qwest Communications International Inc., was represented by Scott Henderson of Business Real Estate. Mickey Morera of Burnham Real Estate Services ONCOR International acted on behalf of Lava Enterprises.
Founded in 1988, Lava Enterprises is a wholesale distributor of specialty candles and candle accessories, with a client base that includes department stores, specialty retail and gift chains and independents. Aside from its warehouse and distribution center in San Diego, the company also has factories located in China, Taiwan and India.
