MMI Products leased 20,456 sf in the Cross Continents, a 117,394-sf, 75%-occupied office building at 3838 N. Sam Houston Parkway East. Kristen Porter of Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Houston office tells GlobeSt.com that the fence manufacturer is relocating the office from a manufacturing facility in the same submarket. Porter says tenant improvements have just begun so it will be awhile before the office is ready to be occupied.
Porter and Grubb & Ellis' Steve Rocher represented the building owner. Houston-based broker Joe Peddie of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. handled talks for the tenant.The Tower Park North at 10700 North Freeway cornered a 5,155-sf lease with the Kevin L. Pawlowski Co. The insurance company also is relocating from within the north submarket. Occupancy should be around the first of the year, according to Porter. John Schwarz of Skyline Realty Advisors in Houston represented the tenant.
The 179,629-sf Tower Park North, which is 78% leased, is one of about three million sf in 30 Houston buildings owned by BMS Management. Porter says the team is "aggressively" seeking tenants to fill its buildings, but has found particular success in the North Houston lineup.
