Faulkner, Landmark Organization Merge

AUSTIN-The 2002 combined revenues of the two Austin-based firms total $300 million.

AUSTIN-The merger of two Austin-based companies creates a versatile construction and development company with deep roots in Central Texas and eyes on projects around the country.

Faulkner Construction Co. and Landmark Organization Tuesday announced their merger under the new name FaulknerUSA. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the combined entity’s revenues for 2002 will be $300 million. FaulknerUSA said in its announcement that it has a number of projects in the proposal phase that it will land in the next year. Company executives were not available to talk about the deal.

Founded 40 years ago, Faulkner’s name is a familiar site at construction sites in Central Texas. Its work has included construction of schools, office and industrial buildings, churches and movie theaters. Recently completed projects include Seton Southwest Hospital, the three-building Las Cimas office complex, Applied Materials Inc. manufacturing facilities and the Nokonah condominiums.
