"We are looking forward to moving to our new downtown location," says Debra Faulkner, Active Voice's vice president of operations. "The new space offers us the ability to expand our lab facilities and the flexibility to accommodate an increasing workforce over time."

Active Voice signed a 10-year deal to occupy 42,600 square feet in the Sixth and Lenora Building. The company will be the anchor tenant, as it will occupy space on three floors. Additional office amenities will include a fitness room, bike lockers, showers, and Ping-Pong room.

The 11-story building was originally built in 1962 and was most recently renovated in the spring of 2000. It is a reinforced concrete and steel-frame office building with an exterior of sleek solar bronze window panels. The building is located on the southwest corner of Sixth & Lenora in the Denny Triangle. It abuts the Westin Building to the south, which is a 34-story telecommunications carrier hotel.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but full-service asking rates for the space run from $19 to $26 psf. Steve Johnson, of Steve Johnson & Associates represented Active Voice in the deal, while Connie Wing represented Clise & Associates.

Active Voice will continue to lease manufacturing space at its Third and Broad location, where it occupied 35,000 sf. The company expects to complete its move early next year.
