Cousins' CFO Barrett Heads for Home Depot

ATLANTA-After 10 years at one of the country's top REITs, Kelly Barrett starts a new career in retailing come January at locally based Home Depot Inc., where she will serve as the firm's controller.

ATLANTA-Kelly Barrett, senior vice and chief financial officer at locally based Cousins Properties Inc., leaves the firm after 10 years to become controller at Atlanta-based Home Depot Inc.

“I have benefited from a decade of working in commercial real estate and look forward to working in a new industry with Home Depot,” Barrett says in a prepared statement.

Tom Charlesworth, Cousins’ executive vice president and Barrett’s former boss, will serve as acting CFO until a replacement is found.
