Steve Greenberg and Wyatt Russo, both of Dallas-based Weitzman Group, handled the relocation. The locally based Golden Triangle JV is the building owner. Hastings Entertainment will gain 3,536 sf in the move.
In Plano, a local restaurateur opened his first eatery for a new concept, T.D.'s Hideout, a moderately priced steakhouse. The 7,500-sf restaurant is situated in a former Tony Roma's in the RREEF-owned Preston Towne Crossing at the crossroads of Preston Road and Park Boulevard. But, says Dennis Leibovitz of the Weitzman Group, T.D.'s Hideout, owned by a consortium led by Bill Lyons and Tim Dorsey, both of Dallas, is looking for a second location in Fort Worth.
The steakhouse concept is rolling out as the group works on adding locations for its Daddy Jack's Lobster & Chowder House franchise. Leibovitz structured a 10-year lease, with options, with John Artrope of the Staubach Co. in Dallas, who represented Tony Roma's.
In Carrollton, owners of the Robyn's Nest leased 7,440 sf of retail space, formerly occupied by Tutor Time. The 3065 N. Josey Lane location will be used once again for a day care. Robyn's Nest specializes in care for special needs children. Chris Leighton of Henry S. Miller Commercial in Dallas negotiated the lease for the building owner, Lone Star Properties Inc. Ed McAdams of Century 21-Judge Fite brokered the terms for the tenant.
