Crum & Foster Takes 22,047 SF in 38-Story Tower

BOSTON-Crum & Foster leases 22,047 sf at 60 State St. in a sublease deal from the Pioneer Group. The insurance company is relocating some of its operations from the suburbs and a broker involved notes that the current market is perfect for tenants looking to make that move.

BOSTON-Crum & Foster is leasing 22,047 sf at 60 State St., a 38-story office tower located in the heart of the city’s downtown area. The insurance company is taking the space in a sublease deal from the Pioneer Group Inc.

Remy deVarenne, managing director at the New Jersey office of Insignia/ESG, and director Bill Crean at the Boston office, represented Crum&Forster in the transaction. John McHugh, vice president and Chuck O’Connor, principal of Trammell Crow Co. represented sublessor Pioneer Group.

Crum & Foster is using the space to relocate some of its employees from its office in Woburn, MA. Crean points out that the current market is perfect for tenants who are looking to make the move from the suburbs into the city, “and still slash their rents.”
