Riggs Opens 4,000-SF Financial Tech Services Facility

ALEXANDRIA, VA-Riggs Bank NA has debuted its first financial center with the recent opening of a new facility, Riggs Financial Center at Tavern Square, at 411 King St. in the Old Town Alexandria area. Riggs leased a 4,000-sf space for the facility. While the financial terms of the lease have not been revealed, Riggs vice president of corporate communications Sonia McCormick tells GlobeSt.com, “We signed a 10-year lease with two five-year options.”

Riggs describes the new center as the next-generation of bank branch offices. Customers have at their fingertips state-of-the-art technology for financial services. There are laptops with Internet access to an ATM with check-cashing capabilities, and access to Riggs staff members for one-on-one consultations. With the technology in place, the 4,000-sf center eliminates bank teller lines, leaving room for such amenities as a circular client services counter, individual meeting rooms and a Knowledge Café. “Consistent with our heritage of providing outstanding customer service, we believe we have created an environment that offers all the resources people need to make smart financial decisions,” Riggs executive vice president of community banking Jeff Glynn says in a statement on the new facility.”
