For the short term, Amil International Insurance Co. Inc. will remain in 15,490 sf at Waterford C, a 57,165-sf flex building at 9229 Waterford Center Blvd. in the state capital's north submarket. The renewal came eight months before its five-year lease was due to expire.
Jay Lamy of Staubach Co.'s Austin office represented Amil. The building owner, PS Business Park, was represented by Ben Schneider and Sam Shannon.
With the renewal signed, Staubach will be acting for Amil in its search for more space. "We're going to be back out to either purchase a building or build a building for them," Lamy tells GlobeSt.com. He said the renewal will give Amil time to evaluate the market to determine which way it wants to go.
