NEW YORK CITY-Hudson Square, a submarket of the West Village, just got a new tenant that’s in it for the long haul. The US General Services Administration inked a 10-year lease for 33,420 sf at 395 Hudson St.

The US Census Bureau will fill the space, comprising the entire eight floor of this 10-story building. While terms of the deal have not been disclosed, a spokesperson for Cushman & Wakefield–which represented the building’s owner, the New York City District Council of Carpenters Pension Fund–tells GlobeSt.com that asking rents in the building are $37 per sf. Typical asking rents in the West Village run about $33.10 per sf, according to a C&W statement.
