Rheta Williams, Cencor's head of property management in Austin, says the new look replaces an all-white paint job highlighted by a blue strip banded around the buildings. "It's dramatically changed," she says.
The community retail center, located at Interstate 35 and FM 2338, is 90% occupied. The anchor tenants are Bealls and Eckerd Drugs. A Starbuck's coffee shop has opened in a 6,000-sf freestanding building at the center and a national restaurant chain is negotiating to take the rest of the building's space.
Enviroplan Architects and Planners designed the renovation. Rizzo Construction was the project's general contractor. David Simmonds and Todd Wallace, both with the Austin office of the Dallas-based Weitzman Group, Cencor's brokerage affiliate, handle leasing for the center.
