Extended Stay Makes Debut in Hotel Market

SEATTLE-Spartanburg, SC-based Extended Stay America Inc. has made its first foray into the Seattle market, having recently opened a new hotel here. The 131-room, three-story property, known as the Extended Stay America Efficiency Studios hotel, is located at 13330 Stone Ave. North.

Extended Stay properties such as this one generally take between nine and 12 months to build and usually incur a cost of around $8 million, according to Allison Hall, the company’s corporate communications manager.

This particular hotel is equipped with a 24-hour, coin-operated laundry facility and also features vending machines. All guest rooms include a recliner, cable TV with remote, free voicemail, free local calls and a computer data port, as well as a kitchen with a refrigerator, two-burner range, microwave, coffee maker, utensils and tableware.
