Atlanta developer Barry Real Estate Cos. and New York-based RB Asset Co., the building's development partners, renovated the property in 1999 by joining two seven-story office buildings with a connector and restoring a three-story parking deck. Brice Building Co. of Birmingham, AL was the general contractor.

MindSpring Enterprises signed a seven-year, 264,000-sf lease at Pershing in November 1999 and later merged into Earthlink. Kingston Atlanta Partners is an RB Asset affiliate. The CBRE deal closed Dec. 27. Eastdil Realty's Atlanta office negotiated for CB Richard Ellis Investors.
