Locally based developer Ron Reeser's Eagle Land Group is asking Barrow County officials to annex a 505-acre tract into the city of Auburn, GA, 30 miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta. Eagle plans a mixed-use project that would include 641,500 sf of office, commercial and retail and 1,112 residential units.

Another developer, Brayson Homes, plans to open three new suburban townhome communities in Georgia this year. They are Charleston Row in Duluth, across from Brayson's Sugarloaf Park community; Walden Lake in Decatur; and Wexford in Union City.

Steve and Marie Nygren, bed-and-breakfast facility operators in south Fulton County, are asking the Atlanta Regional Commission to approve their planned 225-acre venture near Palmetto. On the drawing board are plans for 75,000 sf of office and retail, 152 single-family detached homes and 52 attached 3,000-sf, live-work units.
