Developers Move Ahead on Suburban Projects

ATLANTA-Eagle Land Group plans a 505-acre venture, while Brayson Homes prepares to open three new townhome communities and Steve Nygren asks the Atlanta Regional Commission to review his 225-acre undertaking.

ATLANTA-Although murky clouds still hover over metro Atlanta’s commercial real estate horizon, at least three developers are going ahead with plans on new projects, according to preliminary building applications filed with local municipalities.

Locally based developer Ron Reeser’s Eagle Land Group is asking Barrow County officials to annex a 505-acre tract into the city of Auburn, GA, 30 miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta. Eagle plans a mixed-use project that would include 641,500 sf of office, commercial and retail and 1,112 residential units.

Another developer, Brayson Homes, plans to open three new suburban townhome communities in Georgia this year. They are Charleston Row in Duluth, across from Brayson’s Sugarloaf Park community; Walden Lake in Decatur; and Wexford in Union City.
