Erica M. Des Roches was promoted to director of leasing. She oversees the leasing and marketing of Terranova's retail portfolio, which consists of about 45 grocery store-anchored shopping centers in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in South Florida. Currently, her duties include leasing Pembroke Crossing Shopping Center (290,000 sf), Country Isles Plaza (106,343 sf) and Weston Lake Plaza (96,342 sf). Des Roches has been a licensed real estate broker since 1993 and has been with Terranova for seven years.
In addition, Robert Travis was promoted to senior commercial associate for the company. He is responsible for the leasing and management of the 102,000-sf Wachovia Financial Center and the 65,000-sf HMA Building in Naples, FL. Travis has been a commercial associate with Terranova for three years. His past leasing assignments include Mall of the Americas (610,000 sf) in Miami, Biscayne Plaza Shopping Center (200,000 sf) in Miami, Concord Shopping Plaza (199,000 sf) in Miami, Polo Grounds Mall (120,000 sf) in West Palm Beach and Homestead Plaza (112,000 sf) in Homestead.
Also, the company hired: Grace Yan as assistant property manager for two Miami-Dade County properties, Liz Figueroa as management information systems administrator for Terranova's Miami office and Patricia Espinal as human resources/office manager for that office.
Yan's responsibilities include supervising the physical plant, collecting rent and handling landlord/tenant issues. Before joining Terranova, she managed industrial park properties in Los Angeles, CA.
Figueroa will assist users in day-to-day network issues. Before joining Terranova, she taught Net Tech, a technical support course, at the Chubb Institute in Jersey City, NJ, for nine years. There she assisted in the implementation of technical support curricula.
Espinal will coordinate employee relations, provide new employees with proper paperwork, and communicate with administrative staff about workflow, concerns and delays. Before she joined Terranova, she was office manager for Occidental-Allegro Resorts.
"We are growing by leaps and bounds, adding over 1.5 million sf in the last six months, and are excited to be adding to our team," says Terranova president Beth Azor in a statement.
Terranova's services include asset and property management, leasing, tenant representation, dispositions, financing, construction management, development and acquisition due diligence.
