817 Connecticut Commands $352 Per-SF

WASHINGTON, DC-The 21,300-sf office structure at 816 Connecticut Ave. in the Northwest section of the District has commanded $352 per sf in a recent transaction in which the Estate of Pierre D’Andrimont of Belgium sold the property to RE Capital Partners for $7.5 million. The fully leased building was constructed 15 years ago and carries a current assessed value of nearly $6.7 million.

The property garnered a great deal of attention from potential buyers who were eager to acquire the property. Advantis/GVA’s Dek Potts and Jim Meisel handled the marketing and ultimate sale of the building on behalf of the seller. Potts explains that 816 Connecticut’s unique “views of the White House and the Connecticut Ave. corridor as well as its extremely stable occupancy history resulted in numerous competitive bids for the asset.
