ULI Cites Hillsboro Project as Worldwide Model

HILLSBORO, OR—One of the nation’s most cited examples of “new urbanism” has been featured prominently in a new publication on planned communities by the Urban Land Institute. Orenco Station, a transit-oriented community in Hillsboro co-developed by PacTrust and Costa Pacific Homes, is featured in the ULI’s new publication “Great Planned Communities,” which spotlights 26 master-planned communities worldwide.

“Neighborhoods are made or broken by design,” says Rudy A. Kadlub, chief executive officer of Costa Pacific Homes. “We believe strong planning and attractive architecture add value not only for a community’s residents, but for the towns and cities in which they are built.”

Costa Pacific is currently in the process of master-planning Villebois, a mixed-use European-inspired village envisioned for more than 500 acres in Wilsonville.
