Washington Mutual Promotes Executive

SEATTLE-The national finance services company puts Keith Johnson in the top tier of management of its specialty finance group, which provides multifamily lending, commercial asset management, commercial real estate lending, mortgage banker financing, home builder finance and commercial capital markets services.

SEATTLE-Washington Mutual Inc. (NYSE:WM)has promoted Keith Johnson to executive vice president and chief operating officer of its Specialty Finance Group, which provides multi-family lending, commercial asset management, commercial real estate lending, mortgage banker financing, home builder finance and commercial capital markets services.

In his new post, Johnson will oversee all of the support functions of the Specialty Finance Group, including business strategy development, commercial capital markets, commercial credit risk, marketing, mergers & acquisitions and systems & technology.

“As a member of the Specialty Finance Group’s Executive Team, Keith has made significant contributions and provided outstanding leadership to the group,” says Craig Chapman, president, Specialty Finance Group. “In recognition of his accomplishments, I am pleased to name him to his new role.”
