The company needs the new quarters to complete a $51 million contract with the Federal Aviation Administration and Lockheed Martin Air Traffic Management, a subsidiary of Bethesda, MD-based Lockheed Martin Corp. BarcoView's expansion marks the first phase of a three-year deal with the FAA and Lockheed. BarcoView is a Lockheed subcontractor.
The firm is making 1,500 flat-screen panels for the FAA's en route air traffic control centers that monitor flight traffic between major airports.
