D&T currently occupies floors 24, 25 and 26 at the Richard E. Jacobs Group-owned building and will move upstairs to floors 32, 33 and 34. That space is currently occupied by the US Bankruptcy Court and the US District Court. The new lease becomes effective in mid-2004 and there is some wiggle room in the language that would allow either party to negotiate a different space configuration prior to moving in.
Deloitte & Touche moved into Key Tower in late 1991 and was one of the first tenants to occupy the building. Approximately 370 employees currently work in the firm's Cleveland office.
Key Tower, known as the tallest building between New York and Chicago, is the dominant element of Key Center, which also includes the Cleveland Marriott Downtown, the Society for Savings Building and the Memorial Plaza Garage.
