MIAMI-Activity seems to be picking up at Beacon Centre–a class A, mixed-use property here–as a series of seven new leases totaling 135,049 sf have recently been signed. The two most recent deals, signed this year, include a 50,000-sf industrial lease inked with Zip Transport, a freight forwarder, and a 20,000-sf industrial deal with CEMUSA Miami, which deals with government contracts, such as traffic signals and expressway signage. The company has a 10-year contract with the county at this time.

The specific lease values were not disclosed, but based on the average asking rental rate in the park of $7 to $7.50 per sf gross for industrial space, Zip Transport’s mid-term lease is valued at an estimated $1.75 million. The lease is for 1701 N.W. 84th Ave.

The CEMUSA Miami lease, which is mid-term with an option to renew, has an estimated value of $580,000. The site is 2119 N.W. 84th Ave.
