Jantzen Beach, Eugene Kmart's Closing

PORTLAND-The Troy, Mich.-based retailer's next wave of store closures, 326 locations in all, will take down the superstore at Jantzen Beach Center in Portland and the superstore on Goodpasture Island Road in Eugene.

PORTLAND-Kmart Corp. said Tuesday it will close two Oregon superstores and 324 other underperforming stores as part of its ongoing reorganization under federal bankruptcy laws.

The two Oregon stores slated for closure–at Jantzen Beach Center in Portland and on Goodpasture Island Road in Eugene–are both “Big K” superstores. After the closures, eight Oregon Kmart stores will remain, including one on Sandy Boulevard in Portland and another on S.W. Murray Boulevard in Beaverton.
