According to the terms of the lease, the lender will occupy 4,445 sf in the complex. Countrywide plans to move to the Chula Vista complex, which stands at 303 H. St., in February of this year. The transaction is valued at $750,000.

The lessor, Gateway Chula Vista, was represented by Jim Pieri of Mountain West Properties. Ron Miller of Burnham Real Estate Services ONCOR International acted on behalf of Countrywide Home Loans Inc.

A mortgage banking subsidiary of Calabasas, CA-based Countrywide Financial Corp., Countrywide Home Loans Inc. specializes in refinancing, home equity and purchasing loans. The Chula Vista transaction is the latest in a string of office leases that Countrywide Home Loans has signed in San Diego County, as the company recently inked a $1.3-million agreement for 8,400 sf in Mission Valley's Pacific Center I and a $712,086 lease for 5,563 sf in Carlsbad's Kelly Corporate Center.
