Trammell Crow Promotes Otis to SVP

PORTLAND-While the search for a city leader here continues, Trammell Crow Co. has promoted Dirk Otis to senior vice president six months after he returned to the company, replacing Jeff Sackett as vice president of development. Sackett left to join former Managing Director Chris Nelson at his new development company.

John Sterik, who left the Portland office for Dallas in 2001 to become COO of TCC’s Global Services Group, was asked to head the search for a new city leader after Nelson left. When Sackett followed, Sterik convinced Otis to return after a year with Robert Evans Co.

“He stepped up in terms of leadership,” Sterik tells GlobeSt.com. “The promotion is well deserved and well warranted.” At the same time, Sterik also announced the promotions of broker Mike Nye to vice president; Marc Strabic to senior associate and Jierre Hotchkiss of Raven Construction (A TCC sister operation) to project manager.
