ProLogis to build 133,000-SF Distribution Center for Difarco

PIACENZA, ITALY-ProLogis will build its fifth facility at ProLogis Park Piacenza here, breaking the one-million sf mark. The firm’s latest project is a 133,000-sf distribution center for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals firm Difarco. Construction will begin early next month and is scheduled for completion this September.

This is Difarco’s second distribution facility at Park Piacanza. The company already leases a 328,442-sf space from ProLogis. The park’s four existing facilities comprise 861,113 sf.

“We are pleased to provide Difarco with another state-of-the-art facility in one of Italy’s most strategic distribution hubs,” says Ranald Hahn, regional head of Southern Europe for ProLogis. “This building is part of the first phase of development for ProLogis Park Piacenza, which will continue to expand over the next three years. Ultimately, the park will accommodate 2.5 million sf of distribution space.”
