Amenities Aid $2.5M Sale in Scottsdale Airpark

PHOENIX-The Barclay Group acquires the five-year office building, a 14,256-sf design with shades that automatically roll down on sunny days and bathrooms with showers. With the deed in hand, the firm is ramping up the move for its 40 employees.

PHOENIX-Shades that automatically roll down on sunny days and separate bathrooms with showers were among the amenities that helped seal a $2.5-million sale for a 14,526-sf office building in the heart of Scottsdale Airpark.

Buyer, the Barclay Group, will move its headquarters into the prestigious property where, along with roll-down shades and bathroom showers, the firm also will get additional office space for expansion, broker Eric Wichterman with Grubb & Ellis Co.’s investment division tells GlobeSt.com.

“It’s a high prestige building,” Wichterman said of the five-year-old, two-story building at 15974 N. 77th St. “It’s got a good image, good location and has 10,000 sf for them to occupy with additional space for expansion.” Soon, the retail development company will be moving more than 40 employees from the current headquarters in the McCormack Ranch into the new facility.
