In this new role, San Diego-based Fraser is now responsible for 20 MEC offices throughout the Western United States. He will also lead the West Division's endeavors to expand its services in the key geographic regions of San Diego, San Francisco, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and Texas.

With 1,100 employees, MACTEC Engineering's West Division accounts for $100 million in annual revenue. Its core services consist of construction, environmental, geotechnical, stormwater, transportation and water/wastewater.

Fraser, who studied at both Virginia Polytechnic Institute and John Hopkins University, joined Atlanta, GA-based LAW Companies Group Inc. in 1991 as branch manager of the firm's San Diego office. For the past three years, Fraser headed up LAW's Western Region.

Golden, CO-based MACTEC acquired LAW in February last year, which gave the company added capabilities in its engineering and environmental services areas. The $524-million company specializes in engineering, construction management, environmental and infrastructure services. It employees 4,000 people and has more than 100 offices nationwide.
