NAI partner Maribel Koella along with NAI Collins, Sharp & Koella Inc. office and industrial agent John Dempster and NAI vice president of corporate services Kimberly Kocur represented International Paper in the transaction. NAI has completed more than 150 projects for NAI since 1995. The buyer has not been named.

In order to leverage the sale, the NAI group procured the tenant, Intex, a producer of industrial and consumer rags, sponges and other products. Bringing a tenant to the table put the deal over the top, Koella says. Intex will move 120 employees from its facility in nearby Blount County to the new location in March.

"This project took approximately two years to complete, and we went through several buyers," notes Kocur. The continued persistence and dedication of the brokerage team led to a successful closing."
