Its new space, which encompasses 19,037 sf, will give K2 Inc. more room than its current corporate headquarters location in Los Angeles. The move seems like a natural step for the company, as it already occupies 15,000 sf in Carlsbad and 51,000 sf in Vista for its Planet Earth skate wear and Adio and Hawk shoes divisions. Aside from shoes and skate wear, K2 also sells products for alpine skiing, snowboarding, inline skating, mountain and BMX biking, fishing and water sports.

K2 was represented by Mark Emerick and Andy Melzer of BRE Commercial/NAI's Carlsbad office. Emerick, along with BRE Commercial/NAI colleague Joe Anderson, also acted on behalf of the lessor, MC Palomar.

MC Palomar actually occupies space in Palomar Centre for its owncorporate headquarters. The office project encompasses 210,000 sf and features an onsite café and gym.
