Photon Research Takes Full Floor for 10 Years

ARLINGTON, VA-Photon Research Associates, a technology services provider to the federal defense and intelligence industries, has signed on to lease 19,000 sf of space at 1616 N. Fort Meyer Dr. The space had been vacated by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, which consolidated office space following the sale of its consulting division. Financial details of the lease agreement are not available, but Photon has agreed to occupy the 10th floor space in the Equity Office Properties-owned building for a 10-year term.

“Photon Research Associates has housed its Washington, DC offices in Rosslyn since the mid-1980s,” Cushman & Wakefield’s Bob Schap tells GlobeSt.com. Cushman represented Photon in the deal. “The substantial growth of the company’s government contracting business, coupled with the physical constraints of an older building, conditioned the need to consider other options for future office space,” Schap explains. “The timing of PWC’s downsizing of the 10th floor at 1616 N. Fort Myer dovetailed nicely with PRA’s critical path to relocate the Rosslyn operations.”
