The president of Portland-based Harsch Investment will give a presentation titled "Portland vs. the Rest of the West Coast Real Estate Markets: Everything You Want (or Don't Want) to Know in 30 Minutes or Less!"

Harsch Investment owns several types of real estate in seven Western states and has offices in Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Diego. Locally, the company controls more than 2.7 million sf of office, industrial and retail space. The company invested close to $200 million in 2002, including its acquisition of the 160,000-sf Riviera Plaza office building in Downtown Portland in October for $21.9 million.

Prior to Schnitzer's presentation, US Bancorp's Western Regional Economist John Mitchell will give a 20 minute presentation on the regional economy as it pertains to commercial brokers.

The event is scheduled to run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 in the Multnomah Athletic Club at 1849 SW Salmon. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Seating is limited. For reservations call 503-827-4920.
