Jones Lang LaSalle and NFL Team Up for Kids

SAN DIEGO-Jones Lang LaSalle and the National Football League complete renovation work on a community center here, which is part of the NFL's Youth Education Town Center program.

SAN DIEGO-Jones Lang LaSalle and the National Football League have recently wrapped up construction of a community center here and are already gearing up to start construction on a brand new center also to be located in San Diego. Both projects are part of the NFL’s Youth Education Town Center program, which finances the development of youth community centers in inner city and disadvantaged areas.

The renovation project, which was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony January 23, entailed the upgrade of the 5,000-sf Youth Education Town located at 2220 Broadway. Renovations included gutting a former church and building a computer center, a new lounge and a stage. In addition, the center’s kitchen was upgraded and a 30-ft x10-ft mural was installed. “The center was previously underutilized,” Gary Mast, senior project manager for Jones Lang LaSalle, tells GlobeSt.com. “We turned it into something that will be used on a daily basis,” he adds.
