Retail Projects Ready for Spring

WALNUT CREEK, CA-The first phase of the Olympic Plaza project and The Corners retail development in downtown Walnut Creek are both on schedule for opening dates this spring.

WALNUT CREEK, CA-Local developer Blake Hunt Ventures is wrapping up the first phase of construction at the $42.5 million Olympic Place project in downtown Walnut Creek.

According to a spokesperson for Blake Hunt Ventures, retailer Cost Plus will open its 24,000-sf store this spring, and a parking garage with 600-plus spaces will open around the same time.

Olympic Plaza is a 117,037-sf project, which is located on the block bounded by Locust Street, Olympic, California and Mt. Diablo boulevards. A 14-screen Century Theatres movie complex, which is the complex’s anchor, is expected to open this summer. The center is more than 80% pre-leased, according to Blake Hunt Ventures, but the names of the tenants remain confidential at this time.
