Scheduled to open Aug. 5, 2005, the enclosed center will feature Dillard's, Hecht's and Belk, along with two additional anchors to be announced shortly and up to 150 mall shops. The design also includes up to 210-000 sf of outdoor space.
Taubman has acquired the 120-acre Northlake site, located at the intersection of I-77 and the new I-485 connector, from Charlotte-based developer Faison Enterprises. Faison Associates will handle the offsite and roadwork for Taubman. Construction is slated to begin in late summer or early fall.
Taubman Centers, a REIT, currently owns and/or manages 30 urban and suburban regional and super regional shopping centers in 13 states. Stony Point Fashion Park, now under construction, will open Sept. 18, 2003, in Richmond, VA.
