Developed by Trammell Crow Residential, the community will be located in front of the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in the 2500 block of South Mason Road in the fast-growing suburb of Katy, west of Houston. "The architecture will fit in well with Katy and the Equestrian Center," Terry Montgomery, an investment analyst in Houston for Minneapolis-based NorthMarq Capital Inc., which arranged close to $5.4 million in funding for the project, tells GlobeSt.com.

Montgomery said the three-story apartment complex will use a blend of wood and stone exterior accents to give it a western ranch house look that will complement the surrounding neighborhood. The class A, gated community will include a swimming pool, clubhouse, fitness center and business center along with interiors designed with 9-foot ceilings, full-size washers and dryers and some attached garages.

Montgomery said construction on the project should be completed by summer, with full occupancy expected by 2004. Although the total cost of the project was not disclosed, Montgomery said NorthMarq Capital arranged the funding through David L. Babson/Mass Mutual's Dallas office.
