One retailer is Italy-based La Bottega di MammaRò, which occupies 1,600 sf for a five-year term. The chain carries handcrafted Italian ceramic dinnerware, hand-woven linens, gourmet foods, bath products and fine kitchen accessories, such as hand-blown glassware and handcrafted flatware. This is the first store in Florida for the company, founded in Italy's Tuscany region in the 1960s.
Les Bijoux also has opened, committing to a 10-year term in 880 sf. The European-inspired jewelry boutique specializes in fine platinum jewelry embedded with gemstones and has handmade, customized pieces crafted on-site, in addition to imported jewelry. The store is owned by Simon Dahan and Greg Osipov.
Stelios Galgadas, an international, custom-made jewelry boutique, is leasing 1,174 sf for five years. The shop has a large collection of unique pieces made in 18-karat gold or platinum with precious stones from around the world. The owners are Stelios and Pauline Galgadas, from Mykonos Island, Greece. This is their first store in South Florida.
In addition, Robb & Stucky, a Fort Myers, FL-based upscale home furnishings store, is planning to open its 80,000-sf "department store for the home" next month. The space was formerly occupied by Jacobson's.
Also, March 1 is the planned opening of Z Gallerie, a national, upscale lifestyle retailer that specializes in home and office furnishings and accessories. The store is taking 10,000 sf for 10 years.
Mizner Park targets upscale and unique boutiques, as well as well-respected eateries. The park, located a block north of Palmetto Park Road on Federal Highway, has more than 40 specialty shops, including Tommy Bahama, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft and Bang & Olufsen; eight restaurants; Mizner Park Cinema; the Boca Raton Museum of Art; The Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park; the Mizner Park Amphitheater; offices; and 272 apartments and townhouses. The park is approximately 94% occupied.
