Designed by CCBG Architects of Phoenix and built by the Weitz Co. for Butte Landmark LLC, "The Landmark" condominiums at Kierland are carrying price tags of $300,000 to $2 million per unit. The $70-million project, with 101 units in two buildings, will go up on northwest corner of 71st Street and Tierra Buena near Kierland Commons.

"About 25 of the 50 condominiums in Phase I are already taken," Jaime Suzanne Marquez, the project's vice president of development, tells GlobeSt.com. "It's a very unique concept."

The twin six-story buildings, the second tallest structures in the northeast valley, feature 14 floor plans ranging from 960 sf to 3,800 sf, with views of the McDowell Mountains or the Kierland Golf Course. Scheduled to be completed by summer 2004, the 3.8-acre complex is within walking distance of Kierland Commons and many fine dining and shopping establishments.

Many of the units will have separate dining rooms, great rooms and dens and all will feature granite counter tops, maple cabinets, "dinner-for-four" balconies, artwork wall lighting, upgraded appliances, controlled-access security systems and unobstructed views of the golf course and mountains.

The private gated community, with a 24-hour guard service, boasts a number of amenities as well, including a spa, pool and barbecue facilities along with separate temperature-controlled wine cellars in the community's private clubhouse, designed with a sauna, steam room, and fitness and business centers. Round-the-clock concierge also will be available on site.
