The National Real Estate Customer Service Award for Excellence, also known as the "A List" award, was given to Sunterra in recognition of its outstanding customer service and satisfaction for its management of IBC Plaza in Houston, owned by the International Bank of Commerce. The group earned its first "A List" award last year for management of the 4544 Post Oak Place office building in Houston.

"It's a great boost for us," Bill Carey, senior property manager with Sunterra tells GlobeSt.com "It recognizes that we're moving in the right direction."

Carey said it is the fourth year Sunterra, which manages four buildings and 600,000 sf in Houston, has participated in the customer satisfaction survey that resulted in the award."Based upon the first year or two, we identified areas where we needed to improve," he said, adding that the firm has worked hard to achieve the honor.

He said the award will help Sunterra in the development of new business. The annual award recognizes individuals and organizations that have achieved the highest level of customer satisfaction based on scores from tenants of commercial firms throughout North America.
