Jack London Square Plans Unveiled

OAKLAND, CA-Jack London Square Partners, during a recent public meeting, revealed its grand vision for the Oakland waterfront development, which will include natural landscapes, open space, entertainment, recreational, office, hospitality, and retail uses.

In April 2002, Jack London Square Partners in Oakland acquired four commercial buildings in Jack London Square from the Port of Oakland for $17.2 million. The partners also obtained development rights for five undeveloped buildings.

At last week’s meeting, Jack London Square Partners requested entitlements for up to 360,000-sf of office, 394,000-sf of retail, a 250-room hotel, a 41,000-sf theater, a 40,000-sf health club and 1,039 parking stalls. The plans call for the project to be developed in several phases, renovating four buildings and building several new ones. The development’s exact timeline has yet to be determined.
