Naperville's Retail Base Expands with Four More Stores

NAPPERVILLE, IL-Main Street Promenade, a three-story mixed-use project under construction in downtown Naperville, now has four more national retailers opening there to take advantage of the high-end customer base.

NAPPERVILLE, IL-Four retail tenants have signed leases totaling over 21,000 sf at Main Street Promenade, a three-story mixed-use project now under construction in downtown Naperville on Van Buren Avenue. The new development is scheduled to open this fall and is valued to be worth $40 million. Locally based BBM Inc. is developer of the building.

National merchants taking space in the 44,000-sf retail component of the project on the first floor include Sur La Table, a Seattle-based gourmet wares retailer, which has 29 stores nationwide. This will be its first suburban Chicago location. Ann Taylor Loft, a sister store to Ann Taylor, will open a store in the space as well. The Loft carries a less expensive line of women’s clothing.
