Slaughter's proposed $52 million Stonegate project would comprise an undetermined amount of retail; 104 town homes and 322 single-family residences priced from $100,000 to $350,000 in Polk County, about 60 miles northwest of Downtown Atlanta near the Alabama line.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to start in April but the site would first have to be annexed by the city and rezoned, Slaughter has told city officials. The venture would be the largest of its kind in the Limestone Valley city of 9,470 permanent residents.
