Slated to rise at Kitchen Creek Road off Old Highway 80, the facility will encompass a total of 40,000 sf when completed. With groundbreaking scheduled to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2003, design of the building is already underway. Plans call for a one-story building with a helicopter pad, electronic repair and storage spaces, vehicle maintenance and areas for detention and processing. In addition, training and physical fitness facilities will be built, as well as specialized areas like horse corrals and kennels. Supporting facilities will include infrastructure for water and sewer services, HVAC, electric service, security lighting, parking and storm drainage, as well as information and communication systems.
