SOUTH BEACH, FL-Suffolk Construction of West Palm Beach, FL has broken ground on a 60,000-sf retail development here. New York-based Coolidge South Markets Equities LP is the developer of the project, the first of its kind here in more than a decade.

Called The 500 Block of Collins Avenue, the complex will feature a 225-car parking garage in addition to the townhouse-style retail boutiques. The development, scheduled to be completed next January, will comprise the full block facing Collins Avenue between 5th and 6th streets–a famous commercial/retail/residential area that’s estimated to bring in more than $90.3 million in annual retail sales.
