Gray Hawk Systems Grows in Virginia

ALEXANDRIA, VA-Federal contractor Gray Hawk Systems, which provides engineering services, has announced its plan to expand operations in an $8.7-million endeavor. The expansion involves the company’s headquarters in Alexandria, as well as its offices in Arlington, Prince William County, King George County, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach. Virginia won out over California, Florida and Texas as the designated site for the project.

The specifics of physical additions to the structures have not been made available. However, Gray Hawk officials expect the growth project to result in over 200 new job positions. The company already employs 240 in its various offices in the state. “Gray Hawk’s decision is another sign of Virginia’s leading edge in the federal contracting industry,” Gov. Mark R. Warner says of the news. “This announcement reflects the Commonwealth’s growing homeland security and critical infrastructure protection industry, and brings quality jobs to several Virginia localities.”
