The 63-year-old, former IBM sales top gun closed 150 transactions totaling one million sf of single-tenant properties valued at $300 million in 35 states.

Rea's performance is especially noteworthy because most of the closings were smaller-valued so Rea had to craft numerous transactions to win the honors, Green points out. Among the properties Rea closed were Jack-In-The-Box, Pizza Hut, Arby's, Bakers Square, IHOP and Tires plus.

Rea joined M&M in 1995. He has been a member of the firm's exclusive Chairman's Club for the past two years and serves as a director of Marcus & Millichap's national retail group. Green says Rea was instrumental in M&M's separate alliances with CAPTEC Inc. and CNL Franchise Network to market large portfolios of single-tenant properties located across the country.
