Accounting Firm in for Seven More Years Downtown

BALTIMORE-The tenant roster at 36 S. Charles St. holds steady with the recent lease renewal on 14,000 sf of office space by accounting firm Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates. Financial details of the lease have not been released, but the company has committed to an additional seven-year stay in the 25-story office structure that has been its home for the last two decades.

Located in the heart of the city’s central business district, the towering building on Charles St. has a steady list of occupants and has been recently spruced up with a $3 million upgrade. “Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates has been a long-standing tenant, ” notes Manekin LLC vice president and senior asset manager Craig Scheiner. “ GMA’s commitment to the city goes in tandem with the ownership’s commitment to reposition the building to compete in Downtown Baltimore’s class A office market.” Manekin handled the transaction on behalf of property owner Area 16B Associates.
