The new tenant is Total Amusements, which took 5,400 sf for three years at Southpoint Service Center at 3709 Promontory Point Dr. in the southeast submarket. The property has 54,000 sf.

At South Park, EZCorp renewed on 8,100 sf. The 78,000-sf property is at 2028 E. St. Elmo Rd. in the southeast submarket. With the renewal, Austin-based EZCorp, which operates pawn shops, will be at the property for another five years.

Also renewing a lease for five years was Centex IEC. It has 3,750 sf in Weingarten's 90,000-sf Oak Hill Business Center at 5321 Industrial Oak Blvd. in the southwest submarket. Centex IEC is a local chapter of the national Independent Electrical Contractors trade association.

David Sheldon of Austin-based Atlantis Properties represented Weingarten in the transactions. The tenants didn't have brokers.

"We're working pretty hard not only to attract new tenants, but to keep the tenants we have," Sheldon tells GlobeSt.com. "Weingarten has a very clear understanding of what needs to be done to make that happen in this marketplace." Weingarten's eight industrial properties in Austin total 504,000 sf.
