Cousins Shakes Up Executive Suite

ATLANTA-Among the changes, Daniel M. DuPree leaves his CEO job at Barry Real Estate Cos. after two years and returns to Cousins as a vice president of development, while Tom G. Charlesworth becomes CFO.

ATLANTA-After a two-year stint as CEO of privately held Barry Real Estate Cos. in Atlanta, Daniel M. Dupree is returning to Cousins Properties Inc. as vice chairman of development. He reports to Thomas D. Bell who continues as Cousins’ president/CEO.

At the same time, Tom G. Charlesworth becomes CFO and will continue as executive vice president and chief investment officer. Michael A. Quinlan, vice president and controller at JDN Realty Corp., joins Cousins as a senior vice president.

DuPree will work with Cousins division presidents Craig Jones, office; Joel Murphy, retail; and Bruce Smith, land, to broaden the company’s portfolio of 13.3 million sf of office; 3.3 million sf of retail; 900,000 sf of medical; and 300 acres of undeveloped land.
